If I remember correctly he hurt his handle earlier and was looking for something to else to try to ease the pain. He went through several different models; C243, S329, 326, etc. All of these were ordered in numbers of two. The P156 is a S318 with a thicker handle (R161). My guess is he didn't like the adjustment.

I own the other P156 Pedroia bat used vs the Yankees on May 5th, 2009.

What's the difference between the P156 and his favored S318 model?

He never ordered the P156. I did however make him two...I guess he didn't like it.

Thanks for the info Brian. I currently own one of the P156's. It has some bat rack marks, not much ball marks to speak of.

He mainly ordered the S318. We do make a retail "gamer" of his bat. Basically it's his model, his specs, everything is exactly the same even the wood. Only difference is we are a little more liberal on weights and it comes in different lengths. It's actually made to be used in games.
