Re: Hey Guys - Remember This Bat? - Derek Jeter Signed Game Used Bat - Yankees Rookie 1994
Seller is asking for $6,000 more than what I sold it for. If I could have been sure that Jeter used the bat, I would have kept it. However, from all the comments I got from this forum, majority said any minor leaguer could have used the bat. Just because Jeter signed it, doesn't mean he used it.
Zane Burns could have helped in this matter. However, because he refused to come forward and verify Mr. Reeds story, this bat will continue to float around the hobby for prices like this.
I gave him every opportunity to respond, and he refused. Sad for the hobby...sad for future owners of this bat.

Tony,
If you don't mind me asking, I was wondering how much you sold the bat for? I'm not interested in buying it, just wondering what type of markup they are looking for on this questionable bat? Thanks.Leave a comment:

I have absolutely zero interest in that bat, any minor leaguer could have used it.Leave a comment:

I ended up selling the bat because I wasn't confortable that Jeter used this bat. Especially with Zane Burns refusing to back up Mr. Reeds statement.
As many of you stated, it could easily have been used by other minor leaguers, and someone just got Jeter to sign it.
