He used Rawlings up until the 1st month of April 2007. Then he switched to Marucci at the end of April or the start of May. I don't personally care for the Marucci bat.

Took these pictures last year and in one game 7/20 David used a Marucci bat and in the following game 7/21 he used a LVS bat. Guess he was still using both brands as late as last year.

David Wright started in 2006 using Marucci bats exclusively and has switched back to Louisville sluggers the last two years.

He used Rawlings up until the 1st month of April 2007. Then he switched to Marucci at the end of April or the start of May. I don't personally care for the Marucci bat.

A lot of players on the Braves have been switching to Marucci lately. Brian McCann, Matt Diaz, David Ross, and even Troy Glaus was using a David Ross' Marucci yesterday. Heyward is new to it now....everyone is just using them.

I have Diaz and Prado Marucci's that were made last season. Melky was using one the other night against the Padres and Infante was using the same one(weird tape job on the handle)

What I found interesting with my guy is that Lastings switched to Marucci bats in 2007 when they even made a model for him, the LM44 bat. In 2008 that model was discontinued and he used the KA-29 and KA-29M (same exact model I believe). Then, midway through this season, his Marucci's disappear and he is now using Max bats. Don't really know if it's relevant to the Mauer scenario, but I found it interesting.

I figure the players use whatever the current 'big slugger' uses. When Bonds played, everybody wanted SAM Bats. Now it's Howard and Pujols using Marucci, so everyone wants them. It'll probably be another bat in 4 years that everybody is switching to.

Are Maruccis still made in that guy's shed in his backyard? I haven't kept up that much with the company....

You really shouldn't make such matter of fact statements. I watched him use one yesterday.

Yep, Mauer used them in the game with his infamous bunt in the 7th inning. For you out-of-towners, Joe took A LOT of flack for that. He used that exact model for the entire game. Weird seeing him use anything but Rawlings....it's been a few years!!!

Jason Heyward has been using them recently too.

Just because they ship them to him, doesnt mean he will used them. Marucci GIVES AWAY a large portion of their bats. I guarantee Joe will not use them.

Your wrong. He has been using them. I was stunned the other day when I saw Joe using them and not a Rawlings.
