Re: we've never won a playoff series rangers g/u thread
An interesting Rangers piece I saw many moons ago:
It was a Rangers knit, tagged 1973, showing the NOB and number JENKINS 19. Yes, it was a Fergie Jenkins spring training gamer. Jenkins came to Texas in the 1973-74 offseason in a trade with the Cubs. For Florida activities in '74, he was given a name and number changed jersey issued in '73 to a departed Ranger, Sonny Siebert. Sizing was comparable (46 or 48, I forget which), and the 1974 Street & Smith's yearbook with spring training rosters shows Jenkins as #19 (he took his customary #31 when the season started). This jersey would be of concern to many when first seen, but it is, indeed, authentic and explainable.

My only Rangers jerseys are two Kenny Lofton and two from Omar Vizquel all purchased directly from the team. I would love to add a Cliff Lee to the mix!

Re: we've never won a playoff series rangers g/u thread
My only three GU Rangers pieces:
1993 GU (from a friend who was friend's with a clubbie back in the day):
1993 GU (from my best friend as a gift - hologramed and all):
1990 or 1991:
And although I'm not sure it's GU, it shows signs of game use... 1973 team ball with HOFer Whitey Herzog and ROOKIE AU of David Clyde:
Hope you enjoy!!!!
Great game today Rangers!!!Leave a comment:

Re: we've never won a playoff series rangers g/u thread
Hey guys, nice stuff!! Just wanted to chime in and say how proud I am for all Rangers fans and my former co-workers. My first real job was as a sales account executive with the team from '05 to '07 and I met dozens of great people who's lives have changed for the better with the success of this year's team. For what it's worth, my first g/u bats were from Hank Blalock and Sammy Sosa down in Texas. I also used to own an Ian Kinsler g/u glove and about 6 bats and a S/T jersey. But my greatest Kinsler story is running into him after a game at a local bar and having a few beers each and just talking about baseball and life. He was open to me, a fan he didn't know, just coming up and wanting to hang out with a MLB player. For that I will always follow him in his career. Go Rangers!!Leave a comment:
