As other have said, the A's wore this style Rawlings jersey on July 4th from 2000 to 2002. They also wore Russel versions of this jersey in 1999 and possibly 1998.
The flag patch on the back of jerseys was added after 9/11, right? If so, wouldn't a July 4th 2001 jersey be without it, and a 2002 one with it? That does assume, however, that the patch would be added for a one game jersey, and one that already had a flag on the sleeve.
could have been either year, they played home both years 4th of July (interestingly Cory Lidle started both years on that date.) Piatt did not play in either game.
If I remember right didn't one year the jersey has "Oakland" across the front and the other year it had "Athletics" across it.

Thanks for the reply, David. That's exactly how I narrowed it down to 2001-2002.
I wasn't sure if there were some identifying characteristics of the jersey that might narrow it down to one particular year. I was hoping someone here might know.
Hi all. I'm seeking some assistance in dating the Adam Piatt jersey shown. I'm not familiar with A's jerseys but based upon his number "6", it appears to be from 2001-2002.
If anyone knows for sure, or has any additional information, it'd be appreciated.
