No, Pete wore three jerseys during the 4192 Hit game. He kept one, gave one to Marge Schott, and sold the important one to Barry Halper -- along with the pants, spikes, batting helmet, hat, and warm-up jacket.
MLB purchased the spikes and helmet from Barry Halper and donated them to the Baseball HOF.

Curious if anyone can confirm this. Yesterday I heard on san francisco sprots talk radio that when pete rose was tied with Ty Cobb for the hits record he changed his uniform every inning so he could have nine game used uniforms. True?
