I have definately paid a premium for photomatched bats... sometimes quite a bit more

Always possible a bat made in May could be used in October. More likely with a guy who doesn't bat often vs. a regular position player.

And, yes, I've been known to pay a premium for a photo-matched item. No better form of authenticity.

Is it likely that a bat with a date on the bottom from May would have been held off and used in the ALCS?

Also if you found a bat of a player you really like and felt it was alittle overpriced do you feel that if you where able to photomatch it would you pay a high price?
