    Re: Jim Thome Jerseyon Craigslist

Thanks for more insight to these types of jerseys. It is very informative. Was there only one jersey made for each of these particular games?

Tribute jerseys are a whole different story.
It seems like every year is different.
Here are some pictures of some of the different jerseys I have purchased in the pass.
    Andrew Sisco #51
    Nick Massett #46
    Adam Russell #61
    Manny Ramirez #99
These are some of the ones I could find
The tags seems like they change from year to year.
Also check out my site you can see the difference in tags.
In 05 the tags where also different and some times they will come MLB authenticated but very rare.

Below the "Authentic Majestic" label is only the size "52" tag and that is it. No other tagging. Was this normal for these one-time 2009 jerseys? I love the jersey and paid alot of money for it and just want some comfort knowing that this is the proper tagging for these particular jerseys. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
TBTC jerseys are a whole different animal than normal game jerseys. Your Thome jersey is tagged correctly for that game. I linked a nice photo of Thome in your jersey in case you don't have it.

Chicago White Sox's Jim Thome (L) and Jermain Dye (R) congratulate A. J. Pierzynski after he hit a three-run homer scoring Dye and Thome during the sixth inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers at U. S. Cellular Field in Chicago on June 25, 2009. (UPI Photo/Brian Kersey)

Craiglist can be just like any other place to buy game worn stuff asl long as you know what you're doing. I've bought two Sox jerseys on Craiglist and have flipped them both for a nice profit. You just need to always meet the seller in person in a very public place and make it clear you're going to walk away from the transaction if you are not comfortable with it.

2000 White Sox jerseys should have a stip tag with the player number, size and year. They started using set numbers for following year. Your Thomas jersey should be fine, but I'd like to see a photo anyway.

I will try to post some pics tomorrow. I have to grab it off the wall at my parents house. I kind of understand mine not having a set tag though as I believe they only wore them a few times that year and probably only had one set. Don't know.

    Thanks,

started a topic Jim Thome Jerseyon Craigslist

    Jim Thome Jerseyon Craigslist

Here we go again the seller has ANOTHER game used jersey that doesn't come with a set # on it.

This guy tried selling a Konerko jersey once already

    Then a Frank Thomas jersey

And here we talk a little about the Set #'s Vs Jersey #

I guess anything is possible but I have never seen a White Sox jersey that doesn't have a set # being game used.
Working...
