LOL! I guess I'm not the only one who was thinking perhaps it was a romantic relationship.

If it's an M9, it's from 2004 or later. Swisher's last season in Oakland was 2007. So, the bat is from 2004-07. If it has a laser-etched barrel, it can be narrowed to 2004 or early 2005; otherwise, there's nothing else to distinguish an M9 between 2004 and 2009.

Im fairly educated in the trade just new to bats. Everything else i have has a coa or mlb hologram. Im just new to bats and the year branding like i know the m9 is from 2004-2009 and you can tell the early ones 04-05 from the way they are stamped on the barrel. i know it has his typical most used handle tape job even though he has had quite a few different tape jobs over the years. Swisher is also tough to identify by weights and size and model because swisher changed up his length and weight quite often back then.

I been trying to collect siwshers bats from all years and every team. its slow going and cant seem to find alot out there not from the yankees.

    Thanks
No offense, but you should probably educate yourself on what you are collecting before somebody sells you a bill of goods.

It would help if you can show us some pictures of the bat.

What brand of bat? who is the player? what number is written on the ends?
We will need more info if your going to solve your question.

www.birdbats.com has a good section on identifying Louisville Sluggers and Rawlings bats......see "Identifying Gamers"...........

    Pictures will help too.....

    Dating a game used bat

I was wondering how you can date a game used bat to the year used by the player. I recently accquired a bat used by a player that has heavy use and was cracked in two pieces and it was repaired back together i wish it hadnt been but i knew it going in to purchase and paid accordingly. I would like to try to photomatch this but unsure where to begin.

    thanks Eric
