Notice Griffey was traded prior to and that eliminates an expensive bat! If you are after the entire 1990 roster, I have a Rolando Roomes I will let go cheap! I am only collecting position players who were on the World Series roster. I am currently missing O'Neill (too pricey in my opinion) and Jeff Reed (he was on the roster, never got an AB, I just haven't found the right one at the right price).
My non-professional guesstimates on pricing:
Hal Morris, Chris Sabo, Glenn Braggs: $50-$85 Bill Doran, Billy Hatcher, Mariano Duncan, Joe Oliver, Todd Benzinger - $40-$70 Billy Bates - I bought the only one I ever found and paid $95 for it, which is VERY high but the bat is VERY rare!
If you need help, I can steer you towards several, but they are going to run around $65 a piece! Shoot me a pm or email me at danno_45255 at yahoo.

Also, I did limit myself to either bats used while they were with the Reds or at least bats with no other teams name on them, just FYI. Here is my collection, from left to right - Benzinger, Davis, Sabo, Braggs (1990 bat) Hatcher, Larkin, Morris, Bates, Oliver, Doran, Luis Quinones (Almost certain he was on the roster, never got an AB), Winningham, Duncan:

Thanks Dan. I am starting to think I should try to go that way. I think if I limit myself to only bats used in 1990, it may take forever. Can I ask you a question? Other than Larkin, O'Neill, Griffey, and Davis, can you give me an approximate price range for bats from the balance of the team? I guess pitchers bats may be more expensive? How many bats do you have from the 1990 players? Who are you missing?
Sorry for all the questions! Thanks for your help.
I have been doing the same thing, but I have not limited myself to only 1990 year-specific bats, just getting bats from the players from that team, regardless of year. I just nabbed a Billy Bates last week, that was a tough one to track down!
You are also in Luck with LVS bats. 1990 is the only year that the bat will have no writing under the players name on the barrel. Not "Louisville Slugger" or "Cincinnati Reds"
If you are looking at Rawlings bats, you can easily tell because there is a "90" stamped into the knob. I've owned 3 1990 Reds Rawlings bats and they all had that on them. I believe that 1990 was the first year or one of the first years to have their year stamped on the knob.
I think that there is a way to tell on LS, but I'm not sure without investigating.

Although I have been collecting game used jerseys for many years, I have never ventured into the area of game used bats. Recently, I decided I was going to try to put together a collection of game used bats from as many players as possible from the 1990 Cincinnati Reds. (Please note, I am not advertising to purchase these bats, as there is another section of GUF for posting wants).
I'd like to know if there is a way to determine specifically that a bat came from the 1990 season. If that's not possible, then is there a way to determine if a bat was from a specific era, which includes the 1990 season? Did all bats from the 1990 era have the team's name on the barrel?
I do welcome any comments and thoughts on this subject. I appreciate the help I've received in the past and look forward to being a little more prepared to start this new aspect of my collection.
