The Cardinals raffled off their Joplin jerseys the last day of the series, so most of them were never available via auction. However, there were four jerseys sold at the Winter Warm Up (one in live auction, three in silent auctions) and one jersey was sold at an opening day stadium auction. I contacted Cardinals Care and was told they have no more to auction. I was fortunate to end up with Jake Westbrook's shirt.

The search continues... I just received the two baseballs from the Joplin series I bought and despite the auction showing a commemorative baseball and stating that I was purchasing a "game used commemorative baseball" I received two regular MLB baseballs. Big disappointment. I emailed my contact with the Cardinals Care auctions to see if I bought another one if they could make sure it was a commemorative baseball. I know they at least used them on Saturday, so maybe it will all work out. I have no problem buying another since the money is going to a good cause. I just want to get ONE for my collection.

With fan raffles/drawings on both teams' jerseys,we may not see too many of these hit the hobby anytime soon.

AND ... Sadly I cannot attend the game, because my daughter has a softball game at 7. Grrr... I'd have dropped $50-100 on the scratcher tickets for a chance to grab a jersey or two... Not sure what the odds are, but even if I lost, its a worthwhile cause.

I believe this weekend, at one of the Royals games they are doing scratcher tickets to win the Royals jerseys.... Not sure how many jerseys they wore.

I am confused, because I found photos from both Friday's game and Sunday's game on the Cardinals website and they clearly show regular non commemorative baseballs being pitched. I watched on MLB.TV and clearly saw a commemorative ball on Saturday so that is the day I purchased. Sunday's ball is $10 more than Friday's or Saturday's. I wonder if that is due to the walk off or Pujols injury or just the last day.

In the event MLB.com auctions jerseys from this series, the Cardinals wore their home whites for all 3 games, while the Royals wore road greys...no alternate unies were used in the 3 games.

I'm watching that game on MLB.tv. Kind of wanted to see Berkman in a Cards uniform...but anyway, I think that's a great idea, and I'll let you know if I see anything.
