Though none of the retro helmets were on my email list, I was sent a list of "higher priced" modern players, and #27 Babineaux was on the list. No Hasselbeck (that I am aware of) though. I believe Babineaux may be $500, but you should call and check to make sure.

Thanks slab0meat. It was pretty cool to see all that stuff for the picking and so few people there. Almost like a private equipment room sale!

The only other time I experienced that sheer volume of gear was when I lived in Annapolis and the Naval academy held a sale. Except there the lines were 100 deep and people had to wait outside a tent, as they only allowed 20 people in at a time. It is the only other event I can personally compare yesterday to.

As a collector of primarily game worn helmets and cleats, there is nothing like the feeling of holding the helmets in your hand and sorting thru the cleats for the right one .

Oh and FYI: if you were wondering why the team decided to have an impromptu garage sale this weekend on apparently their entire warehouse? They are one of two known teams (along with Carolina) that are allowing NIKE to change their current uniforms and make them worse (sorry "new"). I actually like a handful of the NIKE NCAA tweaks, so maybe I should not be so harsh.

Apparently the modifications will be minor, but I have heard they are going to have an even darker blue helmet with "feathers" ala Oregon Ducks worked into the design. The logo may or may not altered (SIGH) .

I can honestly tell you as I look at the retro game worn helmet and the modern one I own on the shelf beside each other, I really wish they would go back to their original design. But that seems highly unlikely at this juncture.

I tried to take some picts with her phone while there, but unfortunately there was a perky young lady that worked for them would not allow it. So, here's the rundown of what they had and what I got.

So they had some of the modern game worn helmets out on a table, but to my pleasant surprise, they ALSO were selling a table of 25 or so retro silver helmets!

Of these, I scored a STEVE HUTCHINSON game worn one!! So, total bonus there. It has his #76 sticker inside, and it style matches. I will try to photo match it later, but since he was #76 when the team switched unis, it's clearly his.

The store had literally barrels full of game issued gloves (I bought a pair of the lime green WR ones for $20). They also had tables full of game worn blue home and white away pants that I did not even look thru. They had racks and racks of game issued and worn jerseys (way more than the list they provided). They also had tables and carts full of game worn and issued cleats.

Though there were literally tons of game worn cleats, the best pair I found was a lime green pair with silver reflective bottoms that were custom made for Julius Jones. The box even said his name on them. They were also ironically the most expensive ones, but they looked so sweet I got a pair to display (there were several boxes of these).

They also had sideline winter and spring Seahawks jackets, knit hats, hats, NFL worn and issued jackets and hats. Plus the turtleneck shirts with Seahawks embroidered on them. I was informed the sale ended today, and even was ironically given $100 off on the Hutchinson helmet for that very reason.

However, IMO they will sale this stuff if you call and ask for it specifically. My camera is actually at work since our department one died, but I will bring it home and take some photos tomorrow night of my items.

It was a great hull at a decent price. I wish I would have gotten more but am satisfied that the trip was worth while.
