I was not happy when I heard the Rays signed Manny last year, cause I knew I would need to own a bat of his .... I am just glad it did not cost me too much!

    Thanks for the info Matt.

I collect Devil Rays so I need a Rays bat of his for my collection.

Most of my Manny bats have unpredictable use patterns. Like everything to do with the man, he is not so consistent on label up or down. The bat looks OK to me, but not sure who wants a bat from that period of his downfall. I am a pretty solid Manny fan (yes, despite it all) but would not want a bat from his Rays era. I have watched prices decline steeply the last 2 years, and the fact that the guy flooded the maker with bats does not help the values.

My own guess is that 2004 or 2007 era sox gamers will still hold good value (up to $400-$500) if they have lots of pine tar and use, but many Manny bats will be selling in the $150-$250 range. There are just too many in the hobby (See Arod for reference).

I live near San Francisco, and will go see if the old man can still hit with the A's when he is allowed to play again. Given the lack of depth the A's have, I suspect he will get a good number of plate appearances this year unless he is completely done. Maybe this will prop up his prices for a while longer.

People are way down on Manny, it's a shame since he will go down as one of the top 5 right handed hitters of all time.
I think fans/collectors are willing to forgive steroid guys as long as you weren't dumb about it i.e. Manny and Palmeiro.

Sure does look the same as one on ebay.

Btw are you the owner of Blue Chip Sports? If so, thanks for the great transaction this past week. I bought the Kevin Young Pirates gamer from you.

I collect Devil Rays/Rays, but am trying to get back a collection of Pirates and Cardinals of the 1990's. I used to collect them before the Devil Rays came into existence.

How does he hold his bats? Looks like it's been pounded by a left handed hitter.

Why did this Manny Ramirez bat sell so cheap??

A 2011 Manny Ramirez bat sold for only $102.50.

Looks legit with tons of use. Any thoughts on this bat and why it sold so cheap?

Is Manny's value going down that much?

Working...
