    There were occasions during the flannel era where first maes were used on NIC or NIT tags...it wasn't common, but it did happen.

    By no means am I an expert on Giants jerseys, but does anyone else find it odd that "Willie" is spelled out in the jersey and pants..was there another Mays on the team? I looked back at several same year Giants jerseys from prior auctions and didn't see any others w/ the first name spelled out. Jay

    I doubt they actually bought that uniform, it's reality TV. This guy was on Antiques Roadshow a few months back with this uniform. Here is the link.
