I'm shocked at the price the Wilson is getting for just a game worn seahawks helmet... I was actually lucky enough to view the helmet in person.

can you share the issues that you found with the Wilson helmet to disqualify it as his gamer?

I have spoken with their pro shop and they had helmets where the facemask was removed and the said they would put on a facemask for no extra cost. Meaning the original facemask was either put on another helmet or bent and they will replace it with a generic mask even if it didn't match players style.

That is the downside to the Hawks, is they do not issue any COAs and i know they sometimes will replace facemasks, etc...

Seahawks sell all their new 2012 game worn through their auction site. I believe Sherman went for about $1k if I recall. They either start at 500, 750 or $1k depending on player. helmets start at $750 or $1k depending on player.

This is correct... And also people who wander into the stadium can visit their pro shop, and purchase many types of jerseys and helmets. In short, seahawks game used and game issued helmets and jerseys are fairly easy to obtain. I would think that the seahawks would issue a coa for a Russell Wilson helmet, and that one wouldn't just fall into someone's lap? I have inspected this helmet in person, as I agreed to purchase it. The seller was kind enough to take it back given my concerns. If anyone has any questions about it, they can shoot me an email

There are two listings on eBay right now; one appears to be a Richard Sherman game worn jersey and the other looks like a helmeted, customized to look similar to Russell Wilson's.
