Re: Equipment Blunders
As the White Sox new manager in mid-1986, the late Jim Fregosi's initial set of jerseys had a NOB of FREGSOI.

Re: Equipment Blunders
One time Zack Greinke wore the wrong uniform with the Brewers. The Brewers were wearing their blue alternates with "Brewers" on the chest, but Greinke wore the next days specialty jersey that read "Bierbrauer". Both jerseys have the same font etc. So at first glance they look the same.
No one noticed it until he went into the game to put down a sac bunt. As most know starting pitchers usually throw on a fleece on days they don't pitch so there was no way for anyone to catch it prior to him running onto the field.
It was pretty funny and a unique occurance to say the least.Leave a comment:

Re: Equipment Blunders
Net0,
The jersey was spotted on eBay and was not purchased or acquired by me, my family or any of my friends or their friends (as far as I know). If it was something I was interested in, I would take the time to photomatch it first but since I was chasing a different jersey, I skipped this one and don't spend time photomatching jerseys I'm not interested in.
I'm glad you did your homework on it and didn't get burned.
And this is why kids you do your homework before spending your hard earned money! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm sure next time this jerseys surfaces, more collectors will know that it's a dud!
I am thankful for the many tools we have these days to aid the collectors with identifying real game used jerseys since we can not trust NFL Auctions to provide us with 100% legit jerseys.Leave a comment:

Re: Equipment Blunders
If the names didn't match up why would you think yours was worn? I'm kinda baffled at that fact? You say he wore the wrong jersey in the pic from the game, so when was yours supposed to be worn? I'm confused...... jim bandit was willing to go 300 on it but it was garbage!Leave a comment:

Re: Equipment Blunders
The Jersey you have was supposed to be worn in the 10/10/10 game, didn't the alarm go off when you seen pics from the actual game and your jersey was not the one actually worn???? That should of been a dead giveaway? He didn't switch Jerseys at halftime either if you were wondering.... You kind of made an oxy moron.....Leave a comment:
