I found several undated photos on Getty Images that validate the sleeves, where the first photo below shows two different sleeve types in the same game. If the sleeves and tags are consistent with gamers, I just need to figure out the timeline that Miami wore Russell jerseys. Are there any primers relative to football jersey tagging that will help me target when this jersey was worn?

Regarding dates, I think this style of Russell tag was first used in 1977.

The jersey looks very long from the front picture, but the rear picture it looks short

My initial impression is it's spot on! I will go through some of my photos and see what I can find for Griese...

I am looking for some assistance authenticating a jersey that was presented to me the other day. This jersey has been in storage for 10+ years and was pulled out of its storage location when presented to me. The jersey has yellowing on it and some staining, but does not appear to have any rips or tears. There does appear to be wear on the numbers and sleeve stripes.

Spending about an hour on Google, I found a similar exemplar from Legendary Auctions located here Legendary Auction Griese. The only difference I can clearly decipher from a cursory review are the sleeve stripes, where this jersey only has 3 stripes (2 aqua and 1 orange) instead of the 5 stripes in the Legendary jersey. There might be a difference in the Russell tag, but I cannot clearly the Legendary tagging.

I am very interested in hearing what the vintage NFL collectors have to say about this jersey.
