    Re: Red Sox Sale

Yeah there wasn't really all that much again this year. Even the game used bats were the same ones as last year plus Ellsbury and gomes promo bats. Not really much to be excited about truthfully. 4th year going and the last three have not been worth the time

I went and was able to pick up a huge banner (15'x3') of the 1918 World Series Championship that hung on Yawkey way, they really had very minimal game used stuff, tons of game issued jerseys that have been around for a while, lots of extra stadium promo/give- aways, a ton of player framed pictures that hung all thru the park and player banners that were all wrinkled up . They also had 4 or 5 large racks of Red Sox gear from the team store that was discounted due to bad prints, tears in fabric, or stains. Overall it really was a bust.

They tie it in the X-Mas @ Fenway when they sell the Sox Pax tickets I did not bother with that section and went right to the sale

Season ticket holders were emailed and invited. I did not attend.

I think they weed out email addresses with "Yankees" in them.

Actually, the Red Sox never run a smooth operation with these things. You either know about it, find out about it somehow, or miss it. It doesn't seem to matter to them...

Great Red Sox never sent me a email about it or to register for the lottery to get tickets.

Do they ever sell any other items, such as equipment bags or other odd stuff? I've never been, but would like to one day...Fenway's a long way from my home...I've been to a game at Fenway once a couple of years ago, but I've never been to a sale there.

    Re: Red Sox Sale

Truthfully in the past couple of years that I have gone to, there were not any bats worth picking up. Most of what they had was signed bats and jerseys of traded players, but they weren't game used or issued versions. They have some jerseys of scrub players for $75 or so, but none were authenticated. It was cool to be there, but I wasn't impressed at all with what they were selling.

For folks who have gone to the sale in the past, what are the prices like for game worn jerseys? Issued jerseys? Bats? Thanks!

Check redsox.com or sign up for their emails. The last couple of years they have run the Yard Sale during the Christmas at Fenway Promotion.
