Re: Legal question
The ebay bat looks to have a 1 on the handle with no signs of a 2 so I would guess that bat was used by Doug Glanville or Lance Johnson.

Re: Legal question
Interesting posts here today. Just saw the comment that the bat on eBay may be corked.
Scot finally honored his word and sold me the other Sosa bat like he originally said he would (there were two bats in the original email ... One with Sosa's handle tape and the other which was on eBay). It took a while to get my invoice but it finally did happen.
I got the bat out today and noticed that the end on my bat also looks corked. I know the general story around Sammy and the corked MAX Bat, but how many other Sammy gamers are corked that anyone knows of?Leave a comment:

Re: Legal question
First off, the bat is corked. Second, it is likely that if this bat was EVER even used by Sammy, it was ONLY used in BP.
I am a 500 H.R. collector and have been a life-long "Batman" fan since I was a small lad. So I'm a likely candidate to buy something like this. A conversation piece from a 600 H.R. member, also tied to Batman. Pretty cool, right?
For the record, I have no desire to own this bat whatsoever. As a true collector who wants pieces of significance, this one just doesn't make a blip on my radar.
yanks12025, I understand your gripe which started this thread. Let it go my man. Dan the Jags Fan's early post was the best advice. It's simply not worth it. There is many a read on the character of Scot. If you play with a rattle snake, you had better be close to a hospital with anti-venom. The bat was altered to wow fans at about the time Sammy started juicing heavily. Is THAT really something you want in your collection? I would understand it if the bat were PHOTO-MATCHED to being used in a game, but I seriously doubt anyone will ever discover that.
Save your $$$ for a nice piece....of something other than trash.

Re: Legal question
This was resolved in a few days? This thread went on for what, a week or two? Dont you think you should've updated the thread to let everyone know what happened so people wouldn't continue going with the thread, and letting everyone know the person in question really didn't screw you after all?Leave a comment:

Re: Legal question
Sorry for not updating. Yeah acouple days after this thread they called me and said obviously the $50 was a mistake. So if I wanted it at the newer price then I can have. If not the next person will have a chance at it.Leave a comment:

Seems like an awful lot of whining for a bat he didn't even wantLeave a comment:

Re: Legal question
Saw you have the bat on EBay now. Did you work something out with them after this thread? I thought they had sold it already?Leave a comment:

Re: Legal question
I paid $700 for my Bruce Wayne bat and one sold in Legendary a few years back for $1,300. In typical Scot fashion, he cost himself money by being too lazy to do any research on the items he is selling. He is so tight on cash that he has to flip items asap to cover his investment. If he had the ability to sit on inventory like Zane, he would be in much better shape. He consigns his nicer items to Paragon Auctions.
I bought a Gwynn bat from Scot once and he told me on the phone "I'm holding the bat now, its one of the nicest bats I have seen". The bat arrived missing half of the handle.Leave a comment:
