    Re: February Pickups

    My pickups from the S.F. Giants FanFest on 2/13.

    Game Used Jerseys from 2009-2014 were $199 each, the best names were Cain, Pagan, Vogelsong, Romo, those names went quickly. Team issued jerseys were $99 each.

    From top left clockwise:

    Hector Sanchez 2013 Ring Ceremony GU jersey (with pants);
    Angel Pagan 2014 Road Alternate GU jersey;
    Michael Morse 2014 JRD GU jersey signed;
    Travis Ishikawa 2015 Road TI jersey;
    Jeremy Affeldt 2014 TBC Sea Lions GU jersey (with pants)

    I don't know about the mechanics of the knuckleball but there are two marks this being the best one:

    I see two marks. I'll take photos and post. You always see a players first hit or a milestone taken out of play, but I agree with the glove. That's one piece of equipment that's always been special to a player of any age.

    It's funny you say that. I've spoken with a couple of baseball players about their game used stuff and for the most part the stuff they seem to connect with the bats they used or the glove they used. However I've also found when you hand them a ball to sign and you say something like "that's the ball you hit for your 200th hit" (or something like that) they seem to get excited like they are kids again. I guess there will always be something special about the baseballs to even them. Maybe it is connected to how they always collect their first hit baseball as a momento?

    Having said all that, that Dickey ball is nice. Any fingernail marks on it?

    Yep...missing and restored NOBs are pretty common for Cardinals flannels. Still a primo jersey, regardless.

    'Simba". Now there was a Cardinal I actually liked. Loved that dude in the 70's. Should be in the HOF, catching in that heat, all those hits, awesome jersey pickup. Congrats from a Cub fan.
