Great article indeed! The joy of the hunt, the learning by manufacturer of the various characteristics of a jersey a player wore and then photo matching is a great thrill. Thanks for sharing.

Very good read...my congrats. I grew up in the 70's and when you saw a jersey, you knew that there was no chance ever of having one like it. I had a classmate who had a Chicago Bears jersey that had been relegated to a practice jersey, that a relative had somehow procured for him, a road jersey #49, nameplate had been removed, but you could see where it once had been. It looked like it had been drug behind a truck for several miles, but it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. I have a very modest collection of football & baseball jerseys, but I thoroughly enjoy them, especially the older ones.

Thanks man! I love hearing other collectors stories like that. It's what makes the hobby fun when you share a similar passion.
