Re: Bat Question David Wright
Scott - Great match on that! I would suggest going to MLB and downloading the game. Here is the link: http://mlb.mlb.com/mediacenter/index.jsp#20070421
I did this myself on a bat in my collection by Ryan Zimmerman and catalogued the MLB hologram # and watched it get used for a HR and cracked in the next at-bat.
Hopefully your bat has a great history to it too! Congrats! AndrewLeave a comment:

Do any of you know anyone that tapes all the games?? Id like to see if I can get a copy of the Saturday and Sunday game I believe the 21 and 22 against the Braves...Leave a comment:

Re: Bat Question David Wright
I personally would not repair a bat unless it's split into two pieces and only to put make it whole again (one bat instead of two pieces)

Re: Bat Question David Wright
What is the protocol for repairing a bat?? I love it just the way it is.Its an awesome piece I would love to know when he broke it
In true sense isnt it better since it was broke to leave it broke ???Leave a comment:

Re: Bat Question David Wright
I cant recall which website I saved the photos from, either http://www.amny.com/sports/ or yahoo sports.
Scott, you should download the game from mlb.com, heres the link to the box score: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/wrap.jsp?ymd...=.jsp&c_id=mlb

Re: Bat Question David Wright
Great photos Bobby! I have the same question as Scott where did you get them?
Scott I think the number 5 on the barrell end and especially the number 5 on the knob (see the exact location it crosses the model number) and the hit marks at the time the photo was taken matches your bat.
The bat was definitely used more and more blue hit marks added before Wright eventually cracked and split into two.
BTW I have a similar Wright which also has the 005 lot number from this year which I picked up the 3rd week of April from Steiner.

Re: Bat Question David Wright
dcrules01,
I was looking at some David Wright photos that I had saved and I think I have a photo match for you, the photos are from a game vs the Atlanta Braves on either 4/21 or 4/22.
The numbers on both ends of the bat look to match up perfectly and some of the ball marks. I made the pics brighter so you can see the detail.
Let me know what you think!

Re: Bat Question David Wright
Scott,
Judging from the "005" lot code my guess it would be a bat used early possibly in April or maybe even during spring training.
Great pickup!
