Scully is great. Mel Allen was awesome. I always loved Phil Rizzuto too.

I agree, simply the best. I've lived in L.A. for the last 12 years and I only listen to Dodger games on radio. Forget the sound turned down on the TV....the TV is off.
I grew up a basketball fan and did not appreciate Chicky the first few seasons I heard him. By the time I truly understood him and his appeal...he was gone. Chick Hearn and Vin Scully are legends all over...well outside of SoCal.

    Vin Scully

The American Sportscasters Assn has formally name Vin Scully the greatest to sit behind a micrphone. Does anyone disagree with them? I sure don't, simply the best. If you have never heard Vinny call a game, your trully missing the best. Being from LA, I really don't think I'm biased as to say that I have seen and heard the best in sportscasting. Vin And Chick Hearn were both awesome listening on radio and TV. He'll be entering his 60th year with the Dodgers. Some would say he not Lasorda is the real face of the Dodgers. I don't know how much more time we'll have with Vin Scully, but if you've never heard him, please do. Its the end of an era.

    THANK YOU
