Take a look at the grain above the center brand in the reverse image.

I agree. Obvious photomatch. There is no way two bats could have such similar ball marks, bat streaks, weighted donut residue, stains, etc.Leave a comment:

I'd be 100% confident if I was purchasing this bat. Perfect match in my eyes. The bat definitely has some addition use after the Tino HR.Leave a comment:

Re: My Pujols / Tino bat...Poll
Speaking of Pujols bats, a fan at Coors Field got a VERY NICE souvenir yesterday...
Pujols swung and missed to strike out and end an inning and his bat came out of his hands and went about two sections PAST the 3rd base dugout and about 10 rows up into the stands.
I kept watching and he went straight into the dugout and the Ushers just went to check on the fan. I never saw a Rockies Rep try to obtain it from the fan.

Re: My Pujols / Tino bat...Poll
I've found that heavily used items can take longer to match than stuff with light to medium use since repeated use and pine tar applications, etc. can mask individual characteristics. Anyway, imo your bat is a 100% match. I'll also second bigtruck. I've seen plenty of sketchy "photo matches" around here but this one's really a no-brainer. Nice bat.Leave a comment:

Absolutely 110% photo match. Not a doubt in my mind. Yes, the bat received additional use after the pic but the marks match perfectly. Its a dead on photo match.Leave a comment:

I agree and think you did a real good job matching up the markings.Leave a comment:

I agree that the term photomatch gets tossed around alot, but in this case...it's fitting. It's a great bat and a soild photomatch. More than enough similarities that are visible - even after the after the fact use.Leave a comment:

Re: My Pujols / Tino bat...Poll
It is a match, what is obvious is that the bat received more use and pine tar after the game photo was taken. As someone else pointed out, look at the red lines above and to the left of the C-243.
Nice job!!!!Leave a comment:

Re: My Pujols / Tino bat...Poll
Given that he couldn't have used Pujols bats that often, I think the matching of marks in the photos would put it in the 'extremely likely' category. I mean, what are the odds of having such similarity given that there isn't a very big sample size (ie, Pujols bats used by Tino)?Leave a comment:

Re: My Pujols / Tino bat...Poll
Dont you think to be a perfect match to this given photo, that every detail would match up perfectly? I think people loosely throw around photomatching.Leave a comment:

Re: My Pujols / Tino bat...Poll
I think the difference in angle and light, plus the lower resolution of the game photos, are throwing some people off.
There's no way patterns that similar could appear in that many locations without the bats being a dead-on match.
Ring the bell on it, it's a match.
