To me I believe shattered bats just have more eye appeal. It shows the true strength of these players. The more pieces, the better.

Breaking a bat has nothing to do with strength. You can give any random person a bat, have them hit the ball off the bad/weak part of the bat and it can shatter.

Is a broken bat that's photo matched worth more than a cracked bat? I don't think there's much of a market for shattered bats.

The broken-in-two-bats are Kyles specialty. He has photo and video matched quite a few for himself and others...which inturn allows people to also determine other at bats and hits associated with the bat. While for some having two pieces is unappealing others collect on photomatched items. Ofttimes it also seems that the shattered bats tell more of a story and have a greater appeal to some. She told me that all the bats (except the Francouers) were all broken in at least 2 pieces.

These weren't cracked bats that were in 1 piece.

I actually prefer that the bats be broken instead of cracked. It's easier to find a photomatch...which is what I had planned on doing if I got any of the bats.

I was going crazy this morning seeing a Chipper Jones game used bat for $100....McCann for $75....Francoeur for $50.....etc......but I got a response from Lisa Wessinger saying that somebody bought the whole lot. WHO GOT 'EM?!?
