If you lose enough you end up winning in the end I guess. Though I cannot remember the last time two such hyped players came out in consecutive years AND went to the SAME team. Tampa Bay sorta has done the same thing if they had won a few more games in the mid 200's they would not have Price, Longoria, Upton, Nieman and Garza today (They got Garza for Delmon Young who was a first overall pick) and would be marred in Oriole and until this year Red land (bad but not bad enough to a high enough pick to get the top, top guys and as a result stuck being terriable). It is interesting though how the Royals and Pirates who like the Nats are always picking in the top five never seem to get any better and draft mostly epic busts. Alex Gordon, Luke Hochevar, Bryan Bullington, Kris Benson, etc.
