A Louisville Slugger from the 1950's labeling period used by pitcher Ned Garver (he was the pitcher who won 20 games with the last place St. Louis Browns in 1951!).
Description: This bat shows good game use and is 34 & 1/4" in length and is stamped "Garver" on the barrel. It is uncracked. It is autographed on the sweet spot "Ned Garver" and underneath his autograph he has added "1951 St. Louis Browns". Model C25L stamped on knob and vintage #31 written on knob.
Provenance: I bought this bat personally from Ned in 1998 and it comes with his personal Letter of Authenticity dated 12/10/98.
Pitcher's bats are some of the toughest of all bats (see Vince Malta's new book).
Price: $600 and I will pay shipping via UPS.
Thanks.
