Hey Everyone,

I was there it was a fun time got to meet Larry by the way hey Larry. I also won a game used Bonderman cap at the auction that took place thankfully not many people where there so I won the cap for $125 not bad. Have'nt purchased much from Steve or the Tigers other than a 2007 opening day lineup card but I am sure the items I want will come in. GO TIGERS!

A certain amount of baseballs are prepared for each game by rubbing a mud-type substance on them. I would assume that this ball was prepared for a game but never was in play. Brand new baseballs do not see the field.

my son picked up a Justin Verlander 'game-ready' baseball from the no-hit game against the Brewers (also MLB authenticated).

A game-ready baseball?? A new one you're saying?

I also was in attendance at the Tigers "open house" with my son and a friend. I picked up a 2007 Ivan Rodriguez GU batting helmet (cracked) and authenticated by MLB, and my son picked up a Justin Verlander 'game-ready' baseball from the no-hit game against the Brewers (also MLB authenticated). The event was poorly advertised in my opinion, which led to low attendance. However, this was better for the collectors who were there! Hope to see more of these in the future.

Yes, Steve is very nice as well. We were chatting for a few minutes and he was telling me he used to work in the Game Used memorabilia industry. He was saying that this is the first year they have done things this way for the Detroit Tigers. I think it is a healthy way to go as it gives access to those fans who are not in Detroit (or Kansas City for that matter). Thanks again for this info though.

Brian, those are 2 great pick up's, i knew if Steve confirmed to you on the Butler you would get it, ....I think it was just Nervous Excitement on your part., i have been there myself. Steve is very very busy, but very organized. Adding the Gordon too, i think made it all a double positive in the end. Congrats.

Thanks again for this info. I got ahold of him and ended up getting both Billy Butler's jersey as well as Alex Gordon's. Both MLB hologramed! Fun stuff!

Now I am not sure if I am getting the jersey as Steve and I confirmed the deal and he was going to make arrangements for me to either pay via email or on the phone monday, but I have been trying to email him to find out where to call to pay. Would I just call his number? I have been emailing him, but have not heard back. I hope they didn't sell the jersey to someone else.
