This is a very rare Astros Pence Rookie bat, used shortly after the team called him up in late April/Early May 2007. The bat is his usual Old Hickory bat used in 2007 and 2008. What makes this bat special is that it has #84 on the knob and barrel end. #84 was the number Hunter was issues in 2007 Spring Training. The first couple of boxes of Pence bats received by the team inm early 2007 were numbered with #84. This bat was cracked in early May and purchased from the Astros team store in May 2007. The crack is barely visible and extends under his handle tape.
Hunter's game used items are very rare. His rookie items are non existent on the market. Now that he is a Phillie, I am sure his stuff will go through the roof.
