Hblakewolf, Probably not common which makes this peice all the rarer. As far as a photo of a Ryan Howard helmet goes please enlighten me as to what that helmet has to do with this Werth helmet.
Hblakewolf, I was watching a Phillies game the other day. Bruntlett was at the plate, using UTLEY's bat. No. 26 on the barrell end and Chase Utley written on the barrell. (When that bat cracks guess how that bat will be sold, as a Bruntlett gamer or Utley gamer). My guess, as an Utley gamer. Odds are Utley never even touched that bat.
Ryan Howard is on tape telling all how Rollins' was using his bats last season, which is why he won the MVP. I own one of those bats with Rollins No. 11 in silver sharpie on the knob and barrell ends. My bet is that they swap helmets as well, my eyes aren't sharp enough to see the little numbers from where I sit. How about Chris Coste who tears out the wash and wear tag from all of his jerseys. Hey and how about "flash" Gordon who cuts up his hats and jerseys.
There is no science to this stuff, it is all about trusting the source. I trusted the Phillies when I made the purchase as well as you trusted me when purchasing the Gordon hat a few months ago.
The helmet in question is signed, shows pine tar on the bill, has multiple scratches on the top as well as being slightly cracked due to being thrown. I hope this helps.
Please see photos below of a Gordon jersey that is cut at the bottom and a Howard bat with No. 11 on knob.
Bill my offer is still good to you as well $200. Maybe a trade could be in order. No evidence at all of any sticker on the helmet.
