To the best of my knowledge most of his stuff is still owned by him...very little actually made it out, especially from early in his career. I only know of 2 early day Maddux Cubs jerseys. The later ones were more available, as teams wear 30+ jerseys a season now a days. One day he will consign his stuff to an auction house and some of dreamers will get a piece of his for our collections....well the wealthy ones will (not me).

My guess is if an 86-92 Maddux Cubs jersey hit auction today it would pull 10-15K.

Better start saving now

Greg Maddux offered me $10,000 through an agent in 1998 for his 1986 Home rookie uniform. He has a jersey, but not the pants. I have the complete set and it is the "jewel" of my Maddux jersey collection. If I ever sell, it will have to be the complete collection. I can't sell the "jewel" of my collection and still enjoy my collection.

But it is almost impossible to win a Maddux jersey in any auction. There is this compulsive obsessive insane Maddux collector that scoops up every jersey and/or pants between 1986 and 2008. I would try probably to collect another Cubs player.
