I have been thinking about this for some time and was wondering if anyone else has every considered this as well. Since original Spalding figural baseball trophies are EXTREMELY expensive to say the least what if you were to replicate them for display purpose in resin like many movie props are made. This would not hurt the original in doing so and one the mold is fabricated it could produce a decent amount before having to be recast. It could provide and inexpensive alternative for collectors allowing them to have one with their collection for display purposes. A cast replica would probably cost roughly $40 to produce and could never be be passed as an original.
Please let me know any thoughts that you might have on this and possibly it can become a reality.
