    TATC jersey questions

I was looking thru some old pictures and came across the TATC pictures. My question is What's the difference between the Game Issued VS Retail?
They both look the same Did they have special tags? Thanks

the game used had stiching on the front and had numbers on the back... the retail was printed on the front and had no numbers or names ( i think)

Those are sweet! The Jerseys for the 1999 All-Star Game in Boston also had a TATC feel to them, with a similar backside. I don't want to scan mine, because I want to leave it alone so I don't damage it.

I think that was the 1st year Century 21 sponcered the All Star game. They Also sponcered the Turn Ahead the Clock gimmick.

Gimmick, eh? The 1999 All-Star jerseys were some of my favorites. I could not bare to sell the Bagwell. However, the shirts used to snag so badly that I had to send 2 back to the company, before I finally got one that worked out okay. Great design but poor quality IMO. My Berkman 2006 All-Star Game shirt has held up to a lot of abuse, though. I wear it all the time, even though the yellow isn't the best color.

This all depended on the team. I have owned two that came directly from teams; a White Sox (screened) and an Orioles (sewn).

All lettering on the back was sewn on.

These are similar to the 1999 All-Star Game jerseys because they were both Century 21 sponsored events. The back lettering on many of the TATCs match the lettering that was on the All-Star jerseys. The main differences were the following:
The All-Star Game jerseys were button-down; the TATC were pull-overs
The All-Star Game jerseys were vests; the TATC were "cut sleeves"
The All-Star Game jerseys were micromesh; the TATC were solid poly

FWIW, the D-backs jersey was mine originally (I still have the original pic file) and these came straight from a Russell factory sale in Alabama when Russell was getting rid of a bunch of different stuff..they were never on a rack as retail. I've gotten stuff from Russell in the same manner that could be passed off as game-ready or game-issued.

So today I went to the Sox game and walking thru the stadium I notice a person wearing a White Sox Joe Davenport TATC jersey. I went up to the guy and offered to buy the jersey from him with no luck . Has anyone had that happend to before?

Anyone catch the Twins one that went down on ebay last week. A Terry Steinbach was up for sale from someone that must know him and is selling off some of his stuff. The first I've ever seen of a legit Twins one come up for sale. I think it went for over $500. I thought it may even go higher, considering it comes with a player letter and just how rare it was to even see a Twins one on the market. Pretty sure a board member here won it.

Just saw it now for the first time, thanks.

Trouble is, the jersey was listed inapproproately in the category "Autographs: Original." I can see how it can get mixed up in there if it were autographed, but it isn't.

It's terrible when something out there you are genuinely interested in is mis-categorized, and by the time you find out about it, it's too late. Sometimes, you never know it was even there in the first place...
