BMH...Cal Ripken Jr Bat Invoice Inquiry

    Hi Brian:

I know you traveling, but I recently picked this bat invoice that was sent to the Orioles in April of 1990 for a shipment Cal Ripken Jr. P72 model bats.

Can you tell me what the letters "SNONE" mean (no finish?) as well as "third grade for autographs?" Was the entire shipment of bats meant for promotional/autograph purposes?

Thanks for your help....(sorry for the large scan)

    Bill

    Yeah, that is no finish.

We have several different grades of wood for Ash. Top of the line is the Ballplayer or XX timber, then we have #1's we use for minor league and high end store line models and then there is third grade. It's mainly used for souvie bats and little league.
