Pujols Gamer
Has anyone... or everyone... seen the Pujols LVS currently on ebay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=290305392947
I just wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts or opinions on it one way or the other. I've been interested in obtaining a Pujols gamer for some time. But I'm cautious because it'd be quite the investment and wouldn't want to get taken by something I may not recognize as not being legit that a more seasoned Pujols collector would.
I'd like to get into the fray on this one (at least for a bit) unless someone see's something as questionable. Thanks...

Re: Pujols Gamer
I like everything I can see...would like to have a better look at the ball marks on the barrell...but the tar/use pattern looks ok to me.

That bat does not match ordering records for Pujols.

Re: Pujols Gamer
Robert is correct about this bat -- see this thread: http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_f...ad.php?t=23364
As for the bat asked about in the original post, I agree with Dave -- there are no glowing red flags, but I would like to have a better look at the ball marks. The one apparent ink transfer looks black, which would be a concern since Pujols bats should have blue ink transfer. I also would like to see some red paint on the barrel end to indicate it actually was in the bat rack at some point. So, nothing major, but a couple small concerns that can't be addressed by simply looking at the photos provided.Jeff Scott

Re: Pujols Gamer
Strange that a perfume seller has a Pujols "gamer" for sale.

Re: Pujols Gamer
I was thinking the same thing. The seller of the second Pujols bat mentioned in this thread is "World of Fragrance" with the eBay handle "perfumeinc." For the record, I contacted them about the bat not appearing on Albert's records, but they've ignored me and made no effort to change the description.
The first bat mentioned by Tony is being sold by "rockytoptix" -- they're the sellers with the tickets.
Interesting aside -- another Pujols bat showed up today offered by eBay seller "zsazas" with the e-mail address "gaborathome@yahoo.com."
Zsa Zsa Gabor? World of Fragrance? Very strange, indeed.Jeff Scott

Re: Pujols Gamer
Back in May 2008, this seller sold a "game used" Alfonso Soriano fielding glove. The glove was a SSK, brown & black with his name spelled wrong from 2006. I started a thread about it, although I can't provide the link right now (soriano fielding glove authenticity was the title of the thread). In addition to picture research, I spoke to Andrew Lang, who confirmed the glove was bogus. The seller said there was a big article about it, which I couldn't find. I just wanted to add this to the Pujols bat topic here.
