Bricol Recent Auction-129 Lots, 81 Unsold!
The recently completed Bricol auction featured 129 game used basketball lots. Although many had a set opening reserve of $25. and $15., no bids were placed and many never openend at the reserve. Of the 129 lots, 81 never received an opening bid!
I'd be curious to know how long their current consignors including Wayne Otto will continue to consign items based on these anemic results?
Other auction houses offering similar low-end jerseys (including Hunts) appear to be attracting an audience that places bids.
Thoughts?

How can this be? There should be bidders knocking down the doors for 1970s durene football jerseys with a (drum roll, please...) LOU LAMPSON LOA!

Re: Bricol Recent Auction-129 Lots, 81 Unsold!
Appears that several of their other categories did not measure up, either:
FOOTBALL: 55 lots, 31 received no bids
BASEBALL: 54 lots, 20 received no bids.
Possibly prior negative expereinces from Forum and other hobby bidders have resulted in this poor showing. A few prior posts about Bricol:

When has another auction house experieinced such high percentages of items not receiving opening bids, especially at such low reserves?
Any thoughts or insight is welcome.

Hunt auctions does have premier type auctions like the one they had at MLB all star fan fest. That probably brings more bidders for there lower end monthly auctions as well. Alot of the basketball items in Bricol that did not get bids were things like worn shorts and warm up pants from lowest level players. In the most resent Hunt auction they had a lot of 5warm-up shooting shirts and pants that went for $41, thats only $8 per item. Bricols doesnt get any quality items for what ever reason, maybe bad reputation.
