A review of Davey's personal H & B records between 6/25/68 through 5/12/87 documents that on 5/15/81, during his last year with the Dodgers, Lopes ordered a "new model" to be made for his professional use. This new model was described as "a G157 bat with 1/64 inch off the handle." The new model was designated L139. The only documented order of this bat by Lopes is dated 5/21/81 and was for 4 bats, 34 inches / 32 ounces / Flame Treated Finish.
During his career Lopes ordered a variety of models, with the most common being, in rough chronological order, H176, K55, R161, G157, and C300.

so i guess he ordered them on 5/15 but were recorded 5/21?
it is still a nice bat from the dodgers' world series year. i posted it on the may pickups.
