The only documented order during that label period for C271 came in June 1982--- 24 bats / 34.5 in / Natural finish invoiced to BB Miscellaneous. The bats were ordered with a specific weight, thus making them presumptively manufactured for Dawson's personal professional use. When measuring the bat, be sure to put the knob end against a flat surface.
Note that this order is the first documented order of C271 bats that appears in Dawson's personal order record. He did, however, use C271 and C271C bats 34 and 34.5 inches) often in the mid-1990's with the Marlins.
