Hi all. I just got a beautiful Joe Cronin bat from repair and PSA/DNA authentication. I am thinking there might be an error with the LOA I received and was hoping for some help:
PSA/DNA says the bat is a pre-model (there is no model number on the bat) but puts the labeling period as 1946-1948. I was under the impression that model numbers were put on bats from 1943-44 onward so this seems odd. Am I incorrect?
It also says it was game used by Cronin yet he was done playing in 1945.
Any thoughts? I am assuming typographical error in the date field. The person I bought the bat from who is a well respected person by this forum had dated the bat as an early 1940s gamer.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Jeremy
