Don't have his records, but a block letter 1986-89 would most likely be a minor league bat manufactured as a non-endorsement player. His Minor League stops during that period included Watertown, Macon, Agusta, Salem, Buffalo, Harrisburg, and Indianapolis.

He also had three Minor League stops in 1990, during which time bats with 1986-89 labeling were being provided to Minor League teams, however the block letter name of a non-endorsement player would negate that possibility.
