During the latter part of the 1977 - 1979 label period, Rose favored a Hornsby Finish. Pete's personal H & B order records document a single order of Model U1 bats with a Hornsby Finish dated 7/2/1979 (35 in / 33.5 oz). That order of 9 bats was the first time Rose had ordered the U1 model since 1964.
