BMH - Don Mattingly R43 LVS

    Brian,
Did Don Mattingly ever order model R43? I know he used M110 and T141 primarily, but I saw a R43 and wasn't sure if he ordered it or it was a team bat. Thanks!

Also, if he did order it, what were the dimensions?
Thanks so much! You are an incredible asset to our hobby.

Documented orders in Donnie Baseball's personal H & B records for model R43 are as follows:

1985 / 34.5 / 34 / Hickory / 2 bats invoiced to BB Miscell with specified weight thus presumed to be for his personal professional use. That's it.

ALSO, Between April 1987 and Jan 1988, 6 orders of R43 PROMO bats, totaling approximately 34 bats were invoiced to Hoyt Wilhelm. All were natural finish measuring 33 inches in length. These bats were NOT manufactured for Mattingly's personal professional use.
