Andre Dawson's personal order records document his use of model R43 H & B bats during the 1977-79 label period. Bats were ordered in 35 inch and 35.5 inch lengths with the following finishes, etc:
35 inch: Natural / 34 oz / 12 bats / 1979.
35.5 inch : Walker, Hickory, and Natural finish / 34 oz / 84 bats / 1979
All of Dawson's R43 bats during that label period were ordered between 3/7/79 and 9/17/79. The model continued to be one of his favorite models to the end of his career.
