    BMH-Help with Thome Phillies Bat

Brian, Could you please shed some light on a black circa 2004 Jim Thome Phillies bat I recently purchased. Once I received the bat, I discovered that the model number was not present on the barrel, only the word "Genuine" above his facsimile. There is writing on the end of the barrel "M356" which the bat appears to be the exact same size and weight of some of my other Thome M356 bats. My question to you is: would Thome have ordered/received this type of bat without the model number stamped on the barrel. All the characteristics seem to match his bats (including the custom tape job on the knob) except the model number is missing. I would liked to have sent you a pic of the bat, but it will not allow me to do so. Thanks in advance for your help.

We put the model number on all gamers. Most likely you have a replica bat from the Phillies.
