Rod Carew - Model 064 bat??

I found this bat up for auction, its a Rod Carew Model 064 California Angels @ 34-1/2 inch bat. According to the shipping records I have seen, Carew apparently never ordered any model 64s. He had ordered Model 66s though. I have also been unable to find any other players with a Model 064.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I figured the Carew bat out. Definitely isn't game issued/used.

Mike, While I was concerned about the model number (064), I completely…and I mean completely glossed over the fact that the California Angels team name under Carew's facsimile signature clearly proves the bat wasn’t made until at least 1991. I’m not sure how I missed that detail, but once I saw the model number and the fact it didn’t match Carew’s order logs I just started wondering down that path.
