I was wondering if someone can tell me how many of these bats Puckett ordered in 1987.

Hi Bryan-- Here are the totals for the R161C bats shipped to Puckett for his professional use during the 86-89 label period:

1986-- 0

1987-- 12 bats 34.5" / 32 oz Flame Tempered/Burned Finish

1988 -- 0

1989 -- 0

Note that all of Pucketts' factory records are now available in the Player Bat Charts section of the GUU Game Used Library section of this site, along with all of the H & B factory records of 144 other Hall of Fame players.

I just saw the records. That is what sparked my question. I saw a yearly total but not a yearly total by model. By any chance do you happen to have the date the R161 was ordered?

Talk about a nice surprise seeing those records and finding out my bat is one of only 12 ever ordered by Kirby.

A rare Puckett model for sure.
