Re: randy johnson bat records
P72 from 1985-1989 33.5" 31 oz
If you have a bat that says JOHNSON (as opposed to Randy Johnson), I would start with the specifications above.
I'd say 33-34" and 30-32 oz would be a good starting range.
Also, if the bat is post 1990, it should say "Randy Johnson" with the team name underneath, so that might be something else to consider. -

Re: randy johnson bat records
Thanks guys, it's too bad I don't see k48 written in that listhas block letters JOHNSON and is 34 inches. Think it's another Johnson? It's the era where Louisville slugger is written beneath player name

Re: randy johnson bat records
It's highly improbable (I'd say impossible, but someone will always present the idiotic argument that we don't know absolutely that he never used it) that the bat you own was ever held by Randall David Johnson, let alone used in an MLB game. The "Louisville Slugger" dated bats overlap Johnson's career by 9 AB. I would say it's much more likely you have a bat from a random player named Johnson.Comment

Re: randy johnson bat records
I agree, the only reason I'm thinking it has a chance is it came from Idaho which is close to the Indianapolis Indians where he played in mid 80's on expos farm team. Haha chances are nilComment

Re: randy johnson bat records
Umm... Indianapolis, Indiana is nowhere near Idaho... Were you thinking Idaho is where Iowa is located? :PComment

Re: randy johnson bat records
Bahahaha I admit it, I mixed up Idaho with Ohio. Please use be as an example of an ignorant Canadian the next time someone criticizes USA's knowledge of geography! Damn it haha.Comment
