does anyone have the info for who the v17 bat was created for ?

Greetings! I think it might be Ernie Vick, Sammy Vick, or Bobby Veach.

Actually, I just checked the Malta book and it lists the V19 as Ernie Vick’s model dated to 1924. Sometimes knowing the date of a neighboring model helps narrow it down. So, I’m not sure about the V17, but someone else will hopefully know.

I accidentally stumbled across the following LVS historical company info yesterday. According to this info, as of the early 1930s the following “V” players had pro contracts with Louisville Slugger. Most likely your model originated from one of the following (unless this company info at the time was inaccurate):

Gene Valla
Otto (O.H.) Vogel
Bobby Veach
Oscar Vitt
Ernie Vick
