Re M110 w/ Walker Finish circa 1984-1985 (I'll include 1983 as you are probably referencing the "small new label":
4/6/83 M110 34 in / 32 oz Walker 12 bats 7/14/83 M110 34 in / 32 oz Walker 12 8/23/83 M110 34 in / 32 oz Walker 11 4/13/84 M110 34 in / 32 oz Walker 36
additional orders of M110 Mattingly signature bats were shipped through 1985 that did not document the finish---
Regarding the 'foil-stamped' players name on the 1985 and 1986, this was not common to all orders -- some were foil stamped and some were deeply burned. There is no way to distinguish specific orders where foil stamping may have been used in the H & B factory records.
Hope this helps. I'll also pass this on to Jim as he may have additional info on Mattingly foil stamped bats in particular.
Sorry for not posting earlier - been battling a cold or something and went to bed early last night......Mike's info is correct, as usual and there really is not a way to determine shipments that were foil stamped via the records. I have owned two Mattingly bats that were foil stamped with his use attributes on the bats - so he did receive bats during that "foil period" which were foil stamped.
