    Reggie Jackson 1986 bats

    Does anybody know if Reggie ordered any J93 hickory finished bats w/ a cupped end in 1986-9 labeling period?

          Hi Nick---

          During the 1986-1989 labeling period, H & B shipped one Reggie Jackson signature Hickory Finished model J93 bat to Baseball Miscellaneous on 7/22/86. The bat had a specified length (34.5 inches) and weight (33 oz) which makes it presumed to be for his professional use. In the records it is not documented as having a cupped end. One additional J93 similar to the above (but 32 oz) was shipped to the Atlanta Braves on 9/26/86, however there is no finish specified (usually meaning Regular Finish) and it too is not documented as having a cupped end. All othewr Jackson J93 bats shipped during the period were promotional bats with Natural Finishes, both 34 inch and 34.5 inch (approximately a half-dozen bats.)
